While I was on maternity leave in 2024, alongside co-writing a book with Mark Kermode, I also co-founded a production company with former colleague Mark Jeeves. It’s called Adore Audio and we’re keeping it a small operation so far, working on a select number of podcasts and commercial projects. Mark oversees podcasts hosted by Charlie Higson and Rick Wakeman, and I’ve just launched a new addition to our portfolio: Cheeky Bricks – All About Property!
One of my aims when I moved from London to Truro in 2023 was to work with organisations here in the South West. At the end of last year I was approached by Jonathan Cunliffe, founder of the Falmouth-based estate agent Jonathan Cunliffe Ltd, to make a podcast about the property market in the West Country.
Every fortnight, Jono is joined by SJ (Sarah-Jane) Bingham-Chick, owner/director at Jackson-Stops in Exeter and Richard Addington, a consultant working with SJ. Each one has decades of experience in the industry and every episode they share their insights and stories.
Regular features include Property of the Week, their top property tip in this next of the woods, West Country Wisdom, a chance to impart knowledge of this part of the UK and Property Porn, where they’re set a specific (imaginary) brief from a buyer and are tasked with finding the perfect home for them.
It’s been an interesting challenge for me to work on a subject that is outside of my comfort zone, but I find it fascinating! Jono, SJ and Richard don’t have presenting experience but they’re total naturals and their passion for the profession shines through, as does their friendship.
