This has been a bit of a dream project come true! Following on from curating and producing two series of presenter-led playlists exploring the lives of the great composers, the team at Deezer invited me to curate and present a new series, Classic Movies.

Each playlist is themed around a composer, director or genre, and it was up to me to pick about 2 hours’ worth of music, and to present my selections in a conversational, friendly and (hopefully) informative way.

Themes include Westerns, Alexandre Desplat, John Williams, Alfred Hitchcock, Ennio Morricone and Steven Spielberg. At the time of writing, only a couple of playlists have been published, but here’s the Superheroes one. I hope it makes you feel invincible:
